Client:   SME Group

DATE: September 2018

Venue: Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records Bar, Restaurant and Lounge

The Brief:

Usain Bolt, the treble Olympic hero announced he would launch his first UK Tracks and Records restaurant near Liverpool Street Station in October 2018. The restaurant is split across two floors, with the restaurant on the ground floor and a large dance floor downstairs  where reggae music and DJs provide guests with entertainment until the early hours. The management wanted to make sure the lighting would keep the space modern and chic whilst bringing in themes of Bolt’s Jamaican heritage.

The Installation:

For the restaurant and VIP areaswe kept the lighting in keeping with the wow factor and used backlighting on the chairstables and the bar. LED tape was added to illuminate the window frames for an extra sight in the already colourful restaurant. For the downstairs room, Halo proposed to create an LED pixel ceiling with checkered pattern that would change colour to create a fun and exciting space. Finally, Halo installed an LED flowing staircase in which each step lights up independently as if the lights were moving up or down the staircase.
