AV Production Manager

Reports To: Head of Production

Location: Angel N1, with possible relocation to North London

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary band: £37,500 / £42,500 DoE according to experience

Scope for development / Paid overtime

Role Overview:

The AV Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality audio-visual production for events, conferences, performances, and special projects. Working closely with clients, venue partners, and the Halo team, the role ensures that every technical and creative element is executed to the highest standard.

Halo is a trusted production partner for leading venues, agencies, and studios across London and the UK. We specialise in high-end lighting and technical production for live events, installations, and brand activations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management – Lead AV production projects from brief to completion, including site visits, attending meetings, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Brief and schedule in-house and freelance crew to emphasise safe working practices and high production values.

• Client Liaison – Act as the point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service throughout the project.

• Technical Oversight – Specify equipment for AV-heavy events – supplemented by audio, lighting, rigging and staging equipment where necessary.

• Technical Briefing and Advance – Brief Crew Chiefs for projects to ensure that plans and expectations are understood. Follow this up with written advance, drawings and other documentation where available.

• Collaboration – Work closely with the warehouse, technical, and logistics teams to deliver cohesive and impactful productions.

• Budget & Reporting – Track project costs, prepare post-event reports, and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven track record in AV production management within live events or related sectors.

• Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual equipment including LED Screens and video processing, with a working knowledge of audio, lighting, rigging and staging.

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

• Proven applied ability to work on multiple demanding projects at once.

• Good understanding of health & safety practices and relevant regulations.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours when required.

• Takes initiative and thrives in a team environment.

Bonus Points For:

• Ability to draught CAD files.

• Knowledge of Vectorworks, and Nomad point-cloud scanning application.

• Familiarity with rental and crewing software such as CurrentRMS or Teamtrack.

· Clean driving license

Junior Production Manager

Role Overview:

The Junior Production Manager is responsible for managing smaller productions — from initial client enquiry through to on-site delivery. The role calls for someone with strong attention to detail, good time management, and the confidence to take ownership of for small productions. Working closely with clients, venue partners, and the Halo team, the role ensures that all technical and creative elements are executed to the highest standard.
