The Go Africa Festival’s mission centres on promoting inclusion and celebrating the talents within the African Diaspora. This year’s event featured over 20 vendors, with a remarkable 90% of these businesses led by women entrepreneurs and start ups. Anna Njie, Founder, Director, and CEO of Go Africa Community Hub CIC, was instrumental in the success of the event. Her vision for Go Africa extends beyond this festival, as she continues to champion projects that nurture and uplift young people through skill-building, education, and mentorship.

The festival organized by locals, was sponsored by Islington Council, Chapel Market, Halo Lighting, and Britain’s Got Reggae. Halo described by Anna Njie as “amazing as always with warm professional kind and efficient staff…” helped bring Chapel Market to life. Contributing audio, staging, and rigging to enhance the energy of the live performances and the bustling market stalls. Performances like Tann-I Browne’s incredible Bob Marley tribute and the fabulous Reggae Boyz. The festival marked a milestone of the history filled month, while providing a platform for small businesses and artists to really connect with their community.
