Brief:

For 2015, 2016 and 2017 we have sponsored the London Club and Bar Awards main ceremony, in collaboration with Chauvet Professional (one year it was AED, not Chauvet). For each event we were asked to turning a hotel function room into a gala evening suitable to celebrate the best London’s nightlife has the offer. The two main focuses are the stage for the awards and the dancefloor area as well as general ambient light for the room.

What we did:

Over the years, the general set up has been the same. The stage was 16′ x 16′ at 3 foot height. A goal post was then built around the back to hang the lighting and LED screens. The lighting here consisted of 8 Sunstrips, 4 Strike 4 LED Strobes, 16 3×3 core and a 3m x 2m LED Screen. Around the stage there were also 4 Ali Poles, which were rigged with 4 QSC Speakers and 4 Maverick Mk2 Spots, 4 Rogue RH1, Antari Geyser Vertical Fogger, Look Unique 2.1 Hazer and Chauvet Hurricane 4D Hazer. On the stage was also a full DJ 

Setup.

Above the dance area, a 5M circle truss was flown, which was rigged with 12 Rogue R1 FX-B, 4 20″ mirror balls and 1 30″ Mirror ball. 2 further 8m Truss were also flown. These both had 4 Maverick Mk2 Wash, 2 Maverick Mk2 Spot and 2 20′ Mirror Ball. 2 light the rest of the room 6 Chauvet Intimidator 250 LED beams were put on Truss towers, with 30 uplighters around the room. 2 Robert Juliat Roxie Followspots were also installed.
Around the room 8 screens were also set up for the winners to be announced on. To ensure the presenters were fully heard, they had 3 lectern mics and 4 wireless mics allowing them free range of movement.
