Key Responsibilities:

Technical Skills Required:

• Advanced working knowledge of Resolume Arena and Resolume Avenue, NovaStar SmartLCT and NovaStar COEX control systems.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote.

• Extensive experience configuring LED display systems and projection across a wide range of formats, including complex multi-screen, blended setups and projection mapping.

• Strong knowledge of Roland Corporation vision mixers and media servers.

• In-depth understanding of the integration of video, processing and playback systems to deliver bespoke event solutions.

 

• Knowledge of Vectorworks, and Nomad point-cloud scanning application.

 

• Familiarity with rental and crewing software such as CurrentRMS or Teamtrack.

Job Title: Productions Assistant

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Production Assistant to act as the first point of contact for new event enquiries received by email and by phone. The role ensures that enquiries are dealt with immediately and either progressed or passed onto the appropriate Project Manager. It also includes onboarding first-time clients, preparing first draft quotations, following up proposals, and keeping internal systems up to date. The Production Assistant will also manage some smaller productions through our proposal process and in time will build up their own client portfolio.

This is a desk-based role and does not require direct on-site delivery; it does however require strong production awareness, commercial acumen and honed communication skills. The role requires a positive, practical approach to AI and emerging technology, with an expectation that these tools will be used responsibly to support efficient working practices.

Key Responsibilities

Enquiry Response & Client Onboarding

• Respond timely to clients enquiries and onboard new clients.

• Prepare detailed handovers wherever enquiries are passed to another Production Manager.

• Maintain clear client communications throughout the enquiry and proposal stage.

Quotation Preparation & Proposal Follow-Up

• Prepare first draft quotations for suitable enquiries, ensuring scope, technical requirements, crewing, logistics, and lead times are commercially researched before issue.

• Research the enquirer’s background to help frame budget parameters and determine appropriate level of proposal. Take detailed client briefs, ensuring production requirements are properly understood.

• Identify key production drivers, including access, parking, safety requirements, access equipment, accessories, timings, and practical venue considerations.

• Check that equipment lists are accurate, consulting colleagues where necessary.

• Discuss final proposals with Head of Production before sending them to the client.

• Follow up proposals in a timely manner to maintain momentum and client communication.

• Keep internal systems up to date with enquiry status, quotation progress, approved proposals, and invoicing requirements.

Systems, Communication & Company Standards

· Maintain clear records of enquiries, quotations, proposals, approvals, and invoicing requirements.

· Promote and uphold Halo’s company code of conduct and maintain a professional standard in all communication.

Required Skills & Experience

· Experience in producing events: technical coordination, venue coordination, account management, in a client-facing operational role.

· Strong communication skills, particularly by phone and email.

· Working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and staging systems.

· Commercial awareness when preparing quotations and reviewing costs.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple enquiries or projects at once.

· A proactive, solution-focused approach, with the confidence to ask for input where technical, design, or equipment choices require confirmation.

· A positive and practical approach to AI tools, with a willingness to adopt new technologies and use them responsibly to improve productivity, communication, and production workflows.

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

The Repair and Service Technician is responsible for maintaining Halo’s high-quality equipment to the highest operational standards through repair, servicing, preventative maintenance and quality control. The role plays a key part in supporting asset reliability, extending equipment life cycles, reducing downtime and ensuring equipment is fully prepared, tested and fit for deployment across live events and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Repair & Fault Finding – Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across lighting, audio, AV and associated production equipment, escalating specialist repairs where required.

• Testing & Quality Control – Test equipment thoroughly following repair and as part of ongoing QC procedures, ensuring all assets meet Halo Lighting’s standards before being returned to stock or deployed.

• Operational Support – Work closely with warehouse, prep and project teams to prioritise urgent repairs, support equipment availability and respond to operational requirements.

• Preventative Maintenance – Perform scheduled servicing and routine maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, safety and operational readiness, helping reduce failures and extend asset life.

• Service Records & Reporting – Update repair logs, maintenance records and service histories accurately, flagging recurring faults, damaged assets or replacement recommendations.

• Stock & Parts Management – Monitor spare parts, consumables and repair requirements, assisting with sourcing components and recommending cost-effective repair versus replacement decisions.

• Proven experience in equipment repair, servicing or technical maintenance within live events, AV, lighting, and audio.
